| Sue was born in Oakland, California and came to Lakeside Temple when her mother brought her as a small child. She grew up with the teachings of Charles Fillmore, Frederic Keeler, Alma Morse, and Katheryn Jarvis.
She is a graduate of Oakland High School and San Jose State University with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. |

| She also attended U.C. Berkeley and San Francisco State University on a graduate fellowship in Special Education. She worked at the University of Washington Hospital Rehabilitation Unit and with children in Alameda County schools for three years before her marriage to Monty Montague. She and her husband have two grown children.
She began taking classes at Lakeside Temple in 1980 and soon joined a prayer group. She began working on the staff in 1982 and received her teacher/ counselor license in 1987. She was ordained by The Rev. Jenean Suess at Lakeside Temple in 1997. She has worked in the prayer ministry, as Temple Accountant, in the Publishing Department, as Secretary to the Minister, as Assistant Minister and as Minister in 1998-99. Since her "retirement" from the ministry, Sue has been the Temple's WebMinister, taking e-mail prayer requests and designing and maintaining the Temple's web site. She also works in the Temple's healing ministry. |
