What time is service?
Sunday service at Lakeside Temple of Practical Christianity is at 11 AM, and on Tuesdays at noon we have a meditative one-hour healing service.
Where do I park?
There are two parking lots- an upper lot and a lower lot adjacent to Lakeside Temple. Total number of spots are 10-12. Additional parking is available across East 18th Street in the LUCKY Store lot. Once parked, cross E. 18th and walk through the "Out of the Closet" Thrift Store parking lot to the back gate entrance of Lakeside Temple. Enter through the gate and walk up the lower lot driveway to enter through the front entrance of the church at 144 Athol Avenue. There is a ramp for those that need it.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes - Children may sit or be held by their parents or guardian in the pew area. If they would like to play in the childrens room area downstairs, a member will escort them and stay with them while service is in session.
What does a Typical Service Look Like?
A typical service will begin at 11am with a piano solo pre-lude by our classically trained pianist. Our soloists songs and our Pipe Organist provide divine musical selections. The Minister, Chaplain, Ordained Teacher Counselors and Special Guest Speakers provide a 10 minute Meditation and a 30 - 40 minute lesson.. We end at Noon with a rousing classical piano post-lude typically written by Mozart, Schubert or Beethoven.
How do I join a ministry?
Joining Lakeside Temple is requires only a couple of steps. One must attest and believe in the Jesus Christ Consciousness and one must participate in Spiritual Baptism. This is performed by the Minister usually at a designated date on a Sunday twice a year. You are asked questions and you answer those questions in front of the congregation - no water is involved. Upon completion you will recieve a Baptism Certificate and a copy will be on filed with Lakeside Temple.
How do I join a small group?
Lesson groups typically form when two or more members or interested individuals wish to get together to study specific Bible passages or the Old or New Testiments. Classes are formed and reading material is provided. Upon completion of a series of courses , the congregant may become a Licensed Teacher Counselor.
How can I get involved in serving?
Service is a wonderful way to give to the church and grow spiritually. There are many ways to serve including joining our Prayer Ministry which prays dilegently for those individuals whose names are provided to us. Our Ushers, Sunday Assistants, Host and Hostesses as well as groundkeeper and maintenance volunteers are always a blessing.
